As a label, By Norse Music started in the Winter of 2015/2016. The first release was Enslaved’s iconic “Vikingligr Veldi”, followed by Wardruna’s critically acclaimed “Runaljod-Ragnarok”, which hit the worldwide charts for the first time. Today we are the proud home of acts such as Enslaved, Wardruna, Kalandra, Swedish influencer Jonna Jinton and Norwegian music icon Mari Boine. I'm head of PR and marketing for the label, and work on some A&R aspects, as well as digital distribution.

Beyond the gates festival

Beyond the Gates is an extreme metal festival, located in the heart of Bergen, Norway. The city itself is a must visit destination for metal fans due to its connection with Norwegian black metal, combined with the strong programming of the event has resulted in a impressive growth of the festival in recent years. At Beyond the Gates, I am in charge of promotion and marketing, and establishing new partnerships in Europe and Norway for the Beyond the Gates Experience. The programme focuses on festival and music tourism in Norway and organizes culinary trips, hikes, a tattoo convention and trips to cultural landmarks during the festival, encouraging visitors to explore Norwegian culture.

INFERNO METAL FESTIVAL

Inferno Metal Festival is one of the world’s leading extreme metal festival, situated in the heart of Norway, Oslo. Each year, thousands of metal fans gather to experience the best of what extreme metal has to offer and to also get a taste of a country that has been so iconic in the formation of the metal scene worldwide. As Beyond the Gates and Inferno Metal Fest collaborate on their experience programme, for Inferno I am also taking care of promotion and marketing, and establishing new partnerships in Europe and Norway for this project. The experience programme focuses on festival and music tourism in Norway and organizes culinary trips, hikes, a tattoo convention and trips to cultural landmarks during the festival, encouraging visitors to explore Norwegian culture.

AISA MUSIC MANAGEMENT

AISAmusic management is the home for several bands - including Wardruna, Enslaved, Kalandra, Faun and more. At AISAmusic, I work with Enslaved and Urne on the management side and on all communication aspects with clients such as Wardruna and Kalandra. I also co-organize our Nordic Night events, which are a collaboration with the label By Norse.

Past projects

ESNS Conference 2023

In 2022/2023, I worked with the ESNS music conference, being responsible for the marketing of the event. The festival and conference attract over 4,000 music industry professionals, including 400 international festivals. By day, the front-running conference hosts over 150 panel discussions, interviews, keynotes and more that take on urgent subjects and the need for social change in the music industry. By night, European acts perform across 40 locations in the heart of Groningen from Wednesday to Friday, and Saturday presents upcoming Dutch artists in concert venue De Oosterpoort.
